PHILOSOPHY
PHLSA aims to reduce pet abandonment
at its root by increasing the number
of owners who can correctly understand
animals’ perspectives based on
ethology (animal behavior science).

Understanding becomes love.
Animals cannot speak our language.
This is why we, as humans, must learn to understand
the meaning behind their behaviors
and what they are feeling.
Not knowing these things creates stress for both animals and people,
and can lead to unfortunate misunderstandings or even abandonment.
PHLSA serves as a place for learning, consultation,
and practical guidance based on ethology—
helping owners respect each animal’s instincts,
natural behaviors, and stress responses.
Understanding an animal’s perspective is a way of protecting them,
and ultimately, we believe it is a powerful force
that reduces abandonment.
VALUES(3 Pillars)

1
Understanding Animals’ Perspectives
(Ethology – Animal Behavior Science)
Understanding an animal’s instincts,
natural behaviors, and stress responses through ethology.
By learning why they behave the way they do,
we can build relationships that are comfortable
and sustainable for both animals and humans.

2
Creating Knowledge and Environments
That Allow Owners to Choose
Through accurate information, consultation, and practical guidance, we support owners in making choices that truly fit both themselves and their animals. We value learning that empowers owners — not through pressure, but through understanding.

3
Protecting Each Animal’s Individuality
and Building a Society with Less Abandonment
By spreading knowledge of animal behavior, we reduce misunderstandings and prevent avoidable conflicts. Our goal is to create environments where animals can live safely and comfortably as themselves, ultimately helping prevent abandonment.
